I am challenging myself to write something (and post it!) every day this week. Nothing crazy. Just a little somethin’.
I fell out of the habbit of posting my thoughts while in school this year. I write in my handy dandy notebook but have publishing paralysis.
For Monday, an update and a tiny poem.
Update
I graduated from the NYU Stern Tech MBA on Friday. It was a very fast one year program. People love to poopoo MBAs and I get it (WhAt dO yOU EVEN lEArN iN tHE MBA? HoW tO dO a kEGStaNd? Well, no but I did learn how to spell “hefeweizen”). There is much to criticize about MBA programs but overall, this was a good experience for me. I learned Python, took some dope classes in product management and DevOps, and learned a bunch of finance stuff that I don’t think I could have forced myself to learn via YouTube. It provided me access to investors and mentors that I’m not sure I would have met otherwise. I had time for two internships in unfamiliar fields. One with an investor consortium, the other at The Future Today Institute.
Speaking of The Future Today Institute, I am staying on as a part time affiliate. Expect more newsletters like my ones on space junk and the psychedellic renaissance.
I won the NYU Stern Entrepreneurship Challenge, which is part accelerator, part competition. This was huge for my startup as it provides us money, recognition, and resources to speed our time to market. I will probably write more on this later.
Now, a tiny haiku
Bukowski’s song bird
In your heart, there one lives too
Let it out to sing
